1 person taken to hospital after fire at body shop in Toronto – Toronto

One person was taken to hospital after a fire in Toronto on Saturday evening.

In a tweet, Toronto police said officers received reports of a fire in the Warden Avenue and Danforth Avenue area.

According to Toronto firefighters, the incident took place in a body shop.

Cars were reportedly set on fire inside and outside the store.

The blaze, which was initially considered a two-fire alarm, was upgraded to a third alarm due to reports of explosions, Toronto Fire said.

Toronto firefighters told Global News on Sunday that fire investigators are on the scene, but the Ontario fire marshal’s office has yet to be called.

Officials initially said two people were taken to hospital.

However, Toronto paramedics later said one person was taken to hospital.

Another person was treated on the spot, but refused to be transported.
