  1. Nick walker, $ 130,000 *
  2. Iain Valliere, $ 75,000
  3. Steve Kuclo, $ 50,000
  4. Justin rodriguez, $ 30,000
  5. Akim williams
  6. Sergio Oliva Jr.*

* Walker and Oliva Jr. – sons of famous bodybuilder Sergio Oliva – won additional prizes (and an additional $ 10,000). Oliva Jr. won the Best Fitter Award for the second year, and Walker won the Franco Columbu Most Muscular Award.

Initially, 14 men were to participate in this contest, but four withdrew before the contest. Cedric McMillan was the first to come out due to injury. Lionel Beyeke has faced travel restrictions in his home country, France. Then Roelly Winklaar had to step down due to an undisclosed medical issue. Finally, defending champion and eternal Olympia competitor William Bonac was unable to leave Abu Dhabi for travel due to quarantine restrictions.

This left 10 competitors to compete for this year’s championship. Here’s a breakdown of the top three contenders in the Men’s Open.

First Place – Nick Walker

Walker has significantly improved his upper back since the 2021 New York Pro, which he won in May. His conditioning was the best he had ever been.

As a result, he won the most muscular award and the Arnold Classic title. He’s now moving on to the 2021 Olympia to see if he can make it three-on-three.

Second place – Iain Vallière

Valliere was heading into this competition, hoping to establish his own three-game winning streak. The winner of the Tampa Pro 2021 and Texas Pro 2021 had to settle for second place. The Canadian, and brother-in-law of two-time Classic Physique Olympia winner Chris Bumstead, has arguably performed in the best form of his life. Still, Walker came out a bit better in terms of fullness and definition. However, second in the Arnold Classic is no small feat.

Third place – Steve Kuclo

“The Kingsnake” needed this victory to qualify for the Olympia. Her upper body was amazing on all sides. However, at 285 pounds, he didn’t seem as separated as Walker in prejudice.

This lack of separation was evident at the back and Kuclo was unable to regain ground in the Final. The judges had firmly placed him in third place this year. He will be looking to redeem himself in 2022. According to musclememory.com, Kuclo has eight career wins.

Other divisions

After the Arnold Classic was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Arnold Sports Festival (ASF) announced that only AC is returning for September 25, with limited divisions.

While it wasn’t the total Arnold Classic that fans are used to, there have been contests in three other professional divisions this year. The three champions are now the first athletes to achieve automatic qualification for the 2022 Olympia.

  • Winner in classical physics – Terrence Ruffin
  • International Fitness winner – Missy Truscott
  • International Bikini winner – Jennifer Dorie

At the Olympia

The last big show of the pro bodybuilding season is 2021 Mr. Olympia. The Olympia weekend will take place from October 7-10. the competition proper taking place on the eighth and ninth.
