The Qatar Cancer Society participates in the Dawn Challenge; educates men about health


Doha: Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) is participating in the 4th edition of the Dawn Challenge which will be held in Katara on December 17th.

Dawn Challenge aims to raise awareness of men’s health and prostate cancer, prevention and early detection, especially since it is the second most common type of cancer in Qatar among men of all nationalities, according to the Qatar National Cancer Registry – Ministry of Public Health 2016.

Registration will be done via https://app.qasportsforall.com/event/ZDOlUn until December 16, and the Challenge participation fee, which is QR100, will be allocated to the Qatar Cancer Society. It will take place in three categories, 5 km, 10 km and 21 km.

For his part, Hiba Nassar, head of the health education department of QCS, said: “The charity has developed a comprehensive educational plan aimed at raising community awareness of the disease in partnership with many institutions in the state through through awareness campaigns via electronic platforms and all available media platforms. by posting awareness messages and videos, as well as by organizing numerous virtual awareness workshops, is in Your Hands ”, on prostate cancer awareness.
