Arnold Schwarzenegger posts touching tweets in honor of Bob Rafelson

Schwarzenegger found himself in a dry spell after his first film. Due to the film’s lack of success, most directors and producers were unwilling to give him a chance to act in their projects. Although he landed an uncredited cameo role in “The Long Goodbye” during this time, it wasn’t enough to get him through.

During this difficult time, the bodybuilder-turned-actor found his savior in Bob Rafelson. The director offered the Austrian Oak his first crucial role after Hercules in New York in the film ‘Stay Hungry’. In the film, the actor plays Joe Santo, a bodybuilder chasing the Mr. Universe title. In short, Arnold plays his old self in the film.

However, Rafelson’s recent disappearance has left the Terminator star devastated. And the action star honored his memory with a series of tweets on the social media platform. In tweets, Schwarzenegger praised the director’s genius and even called him a visionary.

One of the tweets read, “The best way for each of us to honor Bob’s incredible life is to remember that there is always someone out there waiting for a door to open to their dreams, and each of we have the power to let it in like Bob has done over and over again throughout his fantastic career.
