Vitamin D3 and B12 deficiency is a silent epidemic; related to your immune system, brain and hormonal health

Vitamins and minerals are essential for our body and our general well-being and there is no doubt about it. Yet, we often pay little or no attention to the level of nutrients in our bodies, do we?

Thanks to a recent Instagram post from holistic lifestyle coach and author Luke Coutinho, we are reminded of the “silent epidemic” that puts our bodies at risk in several ways, namely vitamin D3 and B12 deficiency.

“In Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine, we invest time in identifying the root cause of every symptom and disease. And there is a root cause that seems to be a common thread in almost everyone else we see. It’s like a silent epidemic that afflicts everyone, maybe you too. It’s vitamin D3 and B12 deficiency,” says the Fit India Movement’s lifestyle ambassador.

According to him, many people tend to take these deficiencies lightly because they have become so common.

He says: “In fact, one in two patients we see is functioning with extremely low levels of these two vitamins. Levels of 3, 5 or 10 are dangerously low. A cumulative buildup of this deficiency can lead to countless problems. “
